Spanish newspaper SPORT have claimed that Barcelona are willing to let highly-rated midfielder Riqui Puig leave the Nou Camp on loan during the 2021-22 season to get regular game time – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.
Puig, 21, came into the season having only played 15 times and Ronald Koeman has used him on 21 more occasions throughout the 2020-21 campaign. But of those 21 outings, 17 have been from the bench in all competitions.
Indeed, the four-time Spain Under-21 international is clearly in need of some more regular game time. Barcelona fans have been calling for Puig to be given more of a chance all season, but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Earlier this season, football website 90Min suggested that Leeds had been offered the chance to sign Puig – and that they were considering a loan move ahead of the January window. Nothing materialised for the Spanish ace.
However, now it appears he will be on the move this summer – with Barcelona keen for him to get some regular senior game time. A move to Leeds could happen after all, though numerous European sides are likely to be keen.
Leeds fans reacted to the reports that Barcelona are keen to let him go on a temporary basis in the next few months – and many believe he would be a good addition for Marcelo Bielsa’s Premier League side.
