Leeds United have made it clear to playmaker Samu Saiz that he needs to find a new club before the start of pre-season, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
They report that the club and manager Marcelo Bielsa have absolutely no interest in reintegrating Saiz after he departed the club on loan midway through the season, citing homesickness.
His loan switch to Getafe did not work out as planned but despite the fact that the Madrid club do not want to buy him permanently, Saiz reportedly has multiple clubs – both in Spain and elsewhere – interested in him.
The Whites look to have made it clear that anyone who isn’t fully committed to the club is free to leave, and Saiz has no shortage of potential suitors.
Leeds fans took to Twitter to endorse the decision to let Saiz leave following the end of his unsuccessful loan spell. Commitment is key at Elland Road and anyone deemed to have deserted the club at a key time isn’t going to be popular.
There was perhaps an element of revisionism over how good Saiz was for Leeds – he was their talisman last season and could have made the difference in the promotion push if he was fully focused.
Either way, we’ve put together the best of the reaction from the Leeds fans…
A great shame he couldn't settle here for whatever reason. Fantastic player at this level & we never really replaced him

Wish him well and get a better player. Leeds needs squad depth. A CB, a wingback a winger and a cm. Then they will go up next season.

It was sad that he had to leave, but understandable because of his pregnant wife feeling homesick & wanting to have her baby back home with family. But I can never forgive him for spitting 👊💦 so let him move on & we can find someone that does want to wear the shirt #MOT xx

Regardless of his personal problems which i have sympathy for we’d be better off getting rid he played well up to the spitting incident and was average at best after. it’s no big loss recoup what we can and move on. you’ll not hear much about him once he’s gone

Im glad he wasn’t that good anyway not as good as some people made out only wanted to play when he did and after spitting in a players face I wouldn’t have him in a Leeds shirt again !!! Tells you everything when he cant get a start for Getafe

His bark was always worse than his bite. He threatened defences and created space for others but could not hit a barn door. Slightly better than Roberts but 8 years his senior. We should be looking for better…. A loan signing (Abrahams quality) would do it.
