Leeds United prospect Oliver Casey played 90 minutes in his side’s pre-season victory – and some of the club’s supporters were extremely excited by his performance.
The Whites ran out 3-1 winners in a friendly against Portuguese outfit Pacos de Ferreira, as the countdown for the first game of the Premier League grows shorter.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed the victory thanks to goals from Pascal Struijk, Pablo Hernandez and Helder Costa.
Despite the fact many of the Leeds players are away on international duty, there was still a strong look to the Yorkshire giants and plenty of senior members were in action.
But there was also a string of young academy players that got a runout and one in particularly caught the eye of fans.
Casey is an upcoming talented defender that is Leeds-born and has up come through the club’s academy.
The 19-year-old centre-back impressed in the heart of defence over the weekend in the pre-season win and Bielsa did give him his first-team debut back in December last season.
His brief cameo from the bench showed the youngster is on the fringes of the senior team and he regularly featured on the bench in the league games.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media believe they’ve got a special talent on their books in Casey and one compared him to Ben White, who was magnificent last season at Elland Road during his loan spell from Brighton and played a key role in promotion.
