Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has signed a new contract at Elland Road – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are thrilled with the news.

The Whites have confirmed on their official website that the Poland international has penned a fresh four-and-a-half year deal with them.

Klich has been with the Yorkshire giants since 2017 and has committed his long-term future after becoming a popular figure.

The 29-year-old is an ever-present in Marcelo Biesla’s team right now and is trying to play a key role in a promotion bid in the Championship.

He’s a box-to-box central midfielder that has 12 goals in 76 appearances for Leeds and can be a serious threat when he pushes forward.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media feel that Klich fully deserves a new deal with the club and want him to celebrate in style with a goal at home to Blackburn Rovers.

It’s easy to see why he’s a Bielsa favourite considering his immense work-rate and on his day he can be a real force in the Championship.

He’s not quite been at top gear this season, but the club clearly have faith in him moving forward.
