A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the performance of Max Dean in the first of the Whites’ two games against Ajax on Wednesday.
It proved to be a frustrating afternoon for the Premier League outfit. They went 3-0 down after looking particularly poor in the first-half.

Leeds improved significantly after the break – interestingly, also after a number of first-team players had been taken off.
It did seem that they would never score, however. But in the latter stages, it was Dean who scored from the penalty spot after winning the spot-kick himself.
It was a goal Dean deserved. The 17-year-old came on at the break. And he went on to produce a really impressive display.

He was tenacious and relentless, leading the press on the Ajax backline. And it often paid dividends, with Leeds forcing the home side into some mistakes.
Dean was certainly one of the standout performers for the Whites. And it seems that many of the supporters feel that it could prove to be a pivotal performance for the teenager.

He actually scored eight goals in 22 appearances in all competitions last season. That record includes four in nine in Premier League 2.
And the fans are certainly expecting big things from Dean. One compared him with Alan Smith, while another suggested that his battling evoked memories of Lee Bowyer.
