Leeds fans react to Mateusz Bogusz display for Ibiza
A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Mateusz Bogusz after the 20-year-old marked his birthday with two goals for UD Ibiza – including one stunner.
Bogusz has opened his account for the Spanish second division side. Unfortunately, it proved to be a frustrating afternoon for Ibiza at the weekend.
Malaga came from 2-0 down to earn a point, with the equaliser coming three minutes before the end.
But for Bogusz, it was a timely reminder of what he can really do. He opened the scoring after 19 minutes. It was a superb volley inside the box into the far corner.
And he doubled the lead just after the hour-mark with a sumptuous effort from outside the area. He curled the ball in at the far post once again as he lobbed the goalkeeper.
And unsurprisingly, many Leeds fans lauded the starlet on social media.
In truth, it is hard to see Bogusz forcing his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans at Elland Road. It does seem that no player loaned out during his tenure has returned in a better position in the pecking order.
And with Bogusz on his second loan, it does appear that his long-term future may well lie elsewhere.
But with performances like the one he produced on Sunday, he is certainly doing his chances of catching Bielsa’s eye no harm at all.

In fact, several Leeds fans have implored the boss to make sure he comes into the fold when he does return from the Balearics.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Leeds fans were saying about Bogusz and that second goal…
