A number of Leeds United supporters have taken to Twitter to express their frustration after Marcelo Bielsa suggested, in comments reported by Leeds Live, that Adam Forshaw is set to miss Tuesday’s clash with West Brom.

Forshaw has been a key man for Bielsa’s side this season. He went into the campaign with a point to prove after a tough first full term at Elland Road.

And the 27-year-old has been outstanding in the opening weeks of the year. Unfortunately for Leeds, he sustained an injury that ruled him out of the win against Barnsley and kept him out for the draw with Derby last month.

He did return for Saturday’s defeat at Charlton Athletic. But Bielsa suggested that he is back on the sidelines for the fixture with the Championship leaders with the same problem that had ruled him out previously (via Leeds Live).

The news has attracted a mixed reaction on social media. Plenty of fans believe that Leeds’s chances of beating the Baggies have been dealt a major blow with Forshaw proving to be one of the biggest revelations of the season so far.

There has also been some frustration expressed about the midfielder’s fitness. He has been sidelined on a number of occasions since arriving in January 2018, and a handful of supporters believe that he now cannot be relied upon.
