Leeds fans react to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on Gjanni Alioski

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments from Marcelo Bielsa – reported by Leeds Live – where he seemed to hint that Gjanni Alioski would start Saturday’s clash with Manchester City.

The Whites go into the game with Pep Guardiola’s side looking for their third league win in a row. And they are coming up against a City side that conceded five against Leicester City in their most recent league fixture.

Unfortunately for Leeds however, they will be without Jack Harrison. The winger is currently on loan from the Cityzens, so will be ineligible for the game.

It will be a particular blow as Harrison was the man to provide the cross that led to Patrick Bamford’s winner against Sheffield United last time out.

But Bielsa seemed confident that his replacement will be up to the task. It certainly appears that Alioski will be the man to come in.

“Harrison is very important. We are sad he is not going to play, and Alioski is able to do as well or better than Harrison,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live.

The 28-year-old is yet to start a Premier League fixture. But he has come off the bench in the last two games. And he was extremely impressive in the final weeks of last season.

Harrison leaves incredibly big shoes to fill. But plenty of Leeds fans are excited to see Alioski up against Kyle Walker.

Some are intrigued, or even fascinated, to see how the contest will go if the North Macedonian features on the left wing.

Here is how some of the fans reacted to Bielsa’s comments which hint that Alioski will start this weekend…
