Leeds fans react to Kiko Casilla performance in Norwich loss

Leeds United suffered a bitter 3-1 defeat at home to Norwich City on Saturday and blew the promotion race wide open.

The Whites missed the opportunity to move six points clear at the top of the Championship table, but instead have dropped down to second and were leapfrogged by Norwich.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team were 2-0 down at half-time despite playing well and were completely second best in the second period to slip to their seventh league loss of the season.

The Yorkshire giants will need to quickly dust themselves down for their next game next weekend when they travel to Middlesbrough.

Many Leeds fans took to Twitter to discuss the performance of goalkeeper Kiko Casilla, who did concede three goals at Elland Road.

The 32-year-old arrived in January from Real Madrid as a highly-rated shot-stopper, but has not kept a clean sheet in his first two matches.

He can’t take too much blame for the goals conceded against Norwich due to ricochets on the ball and that was the overriding emotion from supporters.

Casilla is still adjusting to life in English football and will need help from his defence moving forward to keep clean sheets.
