Leeds fans react to Crysencio Summerville’s under-23 display

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Crysencio Summerville’s display as the Whites’ under-23s beat Middlesbrough 4-2 on Sunday.

Mark Jackson’s side were sensational during the first-half. They were 4-0 up heading into the break. And while they missed a penalty and conceded a couple, they comfortably came through the second-half to secure another three points.

Joe Gelhardt will understandably take many of the headlines. But Summerville also produced an outrageous performance at Boro.

The Dutchman contributed three assists before the interval. Two came from fantastic runs, with Max Dean and Gelhardt both benefitting.

Summerville appears to have taken his game to another level in recent weeks. He seemed to fall somewhat off the radar just before the turn of the year.

But he recently scored a hat-trick against Burnley. And he has now contributed a hat-trick of assists in one game for the Whites.

‘Baller’: Leeds fans excited about Summerville

Leeds have plenty of wide players right now. Raphinha and Jack Harrison are Marcelo Bielsa’s preferred options currently. Meanwhile, they also have Helder Costa and Ian Poveda in the ranks.

And while Raphinha and Harrison have been performing superbly, some cannot see any reason why Costa should be ahead of Summerville in the pecking order.

One fan insisted that everyone needs to remember the name, while another claimed that the 19-year-old has everything.
