A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Crysencio Summerville after the winger’s display for the under-21s in their Papa John’s Trophy clash with Oldham on Tuesday.
What’s the story?
Despite boasting a group of incredibly impressive young players, Leeds went into their latest game still awaiting their first victory since entering the competition last season.

However, that run came to an end at Boundary Park. Summerville broke the deadlock from the penalty spot. And there were two own goals after the break as the visitors secured a 3-2 victory.
Summerville came off at half-time. But he certainly managed to make a huge impression while he was on the pitch.
Of course, he has become a more prominent member of the first-team in recent times. He made his senior debut away at Newcastle recently.

And for many, he looked every bit a first-team player dropping down into Jackson’s side with his display.
The Oldham defence could not handle him. He also won the penalty that he smashed into the top corner after getting round his opponent with one of his lightning bursts.
Obviously, it is not necessarily the platform that allows Summerville to stake a claim for a starting spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

But he certainly reminded everyone of just how devastating he can be. And for some, he proved exactly why he is destined for a key role with the first-team in the future.
