A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to react to Marcelo Bielsa’s comments on Jamie Shackleton ahead of the Whites’ clash with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
As reported by Leeds Live, Bielsa has confirmed that Shackleton will miss the next few weeks due to a muscular injury. The midfielder has made one appearance since the start of October.

It did appear that Shackleton had been ready to make his return. He came off the bench in the recent victory at Reading. However, it seems that the 19-year-old has suffered another setback.
Bielsa was asked about Tyler Roberts’s current injury status, and that prompted the Leeds boss to include a surprise update on Shackleton. He was then asked whether the youngster has sustained a new injury.
“The injury of him and Shackleton is an injury of about two or three weeks recovery and they are in this process of recovery,” he said, as reported by Leeds Live.

“He has a muscular injury and we wish he recovers fast,” he went on to add when asked about Shackleton.
It is a big blow for Shackleton. And it is a big blow for the supporters. The academy graduate has been excellent whenever he has played for the first-team. And he has stepped up wherever he has been used on the pitch.
It is also a blow for Leeds with Adam Forshaw still sidelined. It looked to be a fantastic potential opportunity for Shackleton to secure a prominent role in the team.
Fan frustration
The fans are, understandably, disappointed. They have expressed a lot of sympathy for Shackleton, who cannot seem to catch a break this season.
It has also been mentioned that having Shackleton, Forshaw and Roberts sidelined highlights the need for new signings during the January transfer window.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the news concerning Shackleton…
