A number of Leeds United fans have taken to comment on Stuart Dallas’s performance as the Whites were beaten at West Ham on Monday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men were punished for two first-half mistakes at the London Stadium. Luke Ayling gave away a penalty and Craig Dawson was able to get a free header from a corner to double the home side’s lead.
Leeds, unsurprisingly, showed plenty of effort and intent. However, they lacked the ruthless touch that they needed in the final third to get back into the game.
There were some bright performances on show. Raphinha was, once again, Leeds’s most dangerous player. And Kalvin Phillips looked solid on his return to the side.
But plenty of fans praised Dallas’s contribution, particularly in the second-half when he moved into the midfield.
Several supporters felt that Leeds were significantly better in the middle of the park when the Northern Irishman replaced Mateusz Klich in that position.
Dallas is one of a number of players who have been hugely impressive since making the step up to the Premier League.
And while Monday’s result was a hugely frustrating one for the Whites, many seemed to think that he was a shining light.
