Leeds fans react on Twitter to Pascal Struijk loan exit reports
If there was one player whose stock rose considerably during Leeds United’s final three games of last season, which saw the Whites seal promotion and clinch the Championship title, it was Pascal Struijk.
The former Netherlands youth international was superb in the holding midfield role. And his performances were all the more impressive given that he had spent all of his time in Leeds’ youth ranks playing at centre-back up until that point.

So it is arguably little surprise that plenty of Leeds fans have been left scratching their heads after reports emerged from The Sun on Sunday (23/8; page 61) over the weekend suggesting that Struijk could leave on loan this summer.
Your Club's MISTREATED Player This Season.
It was suggested that Carlos Corberan wants the 21-year-old at Huddersfield Town next term. Corberan, obviously, knows the former Ajax youngster well from his time as the Whites’ under-23 boss.

However, several supporters have insisted that Struijk should go nowhere during this window.
He has proved that he can provide cover for Kalvin Phillips.
And with Ben White returning to Brighton following his loan spell, Struijk could also be a genuine contender to feature in his more familiar role.
So many fans are hoping that there is nothing in the reports. They certainly cannot see Marcelo Bielsa being willing to let Struijk leave on loan as things stand.
Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to the reports…
Leeds must absolutely keep Struijk. A critical cover for the defence.

Surely we can’t let Struijk go , especially if we are only in for one CB we are short as it is #lufc https://t.co/U9TD0th3kv

Can’t see Struijk leaving as he looks more than capable as back up to Phillips and of course at CB. In fact he’s starting against Liverpool as things stand next to Cooper. https://t.co/zU7sXCfEJJ
