Leeds fans react on Twitter to Noa Lang display vs PSG

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Noa Lang after watching the Club Brugge star shine against PSG in the Champions League.

Of course, Lang was heavily linked with a move to Elland Road. The Telegraph reported back in May that the Whites wanted the 22-year-old.

The Athletic reported last month that Victor Orta was keen on the Dutchman. However, Marcelo Bielsa was not as sure about signing the forward.

Unfortunately, the early signs suggest that that decision may not have been the best one.

Lang has scored four goals and provided four assists in nine appearances in all competitions at the beginning of this campaign.

And his latest performance has certainly caught of a number of Leeds United fans on social media.

Lang was part of the Club Brugge side that took a point from their Champions League opener with PSG.

And many felt that the youngster outshone Neymar with his display. He completed five dribbles – two more than Lionel Messi (Whoscored).

It was a remarkable result for the Belgian side. And Lang was one of those who threatened to help them take all three points.

For Leeds supporters, it was something of a painful watch. The Telegraph’s report noted that he had a value of around £20 million.

And after seeing him up against the likes of Neymar, Messi and Kylian Mbappe, fans cannot understand what put the Whites off a move.

It has obviously been a disappointing start to the campaign for Leeds. And watching Lang stand out and win the man of the match award against a star-studded PSG side is not improving the fans’ mood.
