It perhaps says a lot about Mateusz Klich’s overall display that he could miss a couple of golden chances in Leeds United’s draw with Arsenal on Sunday and still be lauded by many Whites fans on social media following the stalemate.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men bounced back from two defeats with an excellent performance at Elland Road. They were dominant against the Gunners and came close to scoring on a number of occasions.

Unfortunately for the Whites, they were unable to find a winner. As already mentioned, Klich was one who blew a couple of opportunities to add a third Premier League goal to his collection.

Nevertheless, the Poland international still managed to produce an outstanding performance in the goalless draw.

Klich seemed to be freed up by Kalvin Phillips’s return to the side. The 30-year-old was involved in a lot of the superb build-up work Leeds produced around the Arsenal box.

Once again, some of his touches were on another level. And the visitors seemed to be unable to get the ball off of the midfielder – who cost £1.5 million (via Yorkshire Evening Post) – throughout the contest.

His display prompted many to take to social media to laud Klich’s display. Several suggested that he was the man of the match, and some clearly feel that he has been one of Leeds’s best performers since promotion.

Here is how some of the fans reacted to Klich’s display…
