Leeds fans react on Twitter to Luke Freeman reports

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun on Sunday (5/1; page 61) suggesting that the Whites want Luke Freeman from Sheffield United.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side top the Championship. But the January window has perhaps not got off to the best start, with Jack Clarke and Eddie Nketiah both being recalled by their parent clubs.

After the events of last season, the Elland Road faithful are hopeful that Leeds will be busy this month. And it appears that they are eyeing a move for one Sheffield United player.

Freeman has only started a handful of games since moving to Bramall Lane in the summer. But he is a player that many of the Whites fans seem to be extremely excited about.

Freeman was superb in the Championship with Queens Park Rangers last season. His campaign included a man of the match performance against Bielsa’s side at Loftus Road.

And a number of fans feel that he could be a game-changing signing. Leeds have a lot of quality in attacking midfield, but several have suggested that he would still be a brilliant addition.

In fact, one supporter has suggested that signing Freeman would see Leeds finally land a replacement for Samu Saiz. The Spaniard left the club last January having struggled to produce his best form at the start of his second season with the Whites.
