A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Kalvin Phillips’s performance as the Whites drew with Manchester United at Elland Road on Sunday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain unbeaten against the alleged big six in home games this season. Once again, they managed to secure a draw, this time against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

Leeds were not at their best against their bitter rivals. But they showed a lot of the qualities that some had accused them of lacking at times earlier this season.
They dug in and showed a lot of spirit to keep the visitors at bay. And perhaps no player did a better job of limiting Manchester United’s clear-cut chances than Phillips.

The England international was handed the potentially-daunting task of dealing with Bruno Fernandes. And while there were times when Bruno did get free, Phillips did a fantastic job of keeping him quiet.
The 25-year-old seemed to read the game superbly throughout. Remarkably, he won seven challenges – more than any other player on the pitch (Whoscored).
But he also threatened to have an impact further up the field. He made a number of impressive passes and often drove the team forward when they did regain possession.
Unsurprisingly, plenty of supporters were hugely impressed with what they saw from the Leeds academy graduate.
