Leeds fans react on Twitter to Ivan Toney interest reports

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on recent reports from TEAMtalk linking the Whites with a potential move for Ivan Toney.

Despite some disappointing form of late, Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain on course to secure a second consecutive season in the Premier League.

With that in mind, thoughts appear to already be turning towards the summer. And it seems that Victor Orta may have his eye on a new striker.

According to TEAMtalk, Leeds are one of the Premier League sides to have made contact with Brentford over Toney. It is claimed that they have asked to be kept informed of his situation with the Bees.

He will not come cheap however, with the report noting that Thomas Frank’s men want £30 million for the 24-year-old.

The report appears to have divided some of the Leeds fans on social media. Some either cannot see Leeds parting with such a sum for Toney, or do not believe that he is worth the outlay.

Others however, are much more excited. Toney has already scored 25 goals this season in his first year in the Championship.

It looks inevitable that he will be playing Premier League football next term. And some would clearly like Orta to bring him to Elland Road.
