A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Gjanni Alioski’s display as Marcelo Bielsa’s side rounded off their season with an outstanding win over West Brom.
It was an emotional atmosphere at Elland Road for a number of reasons. Of course, the game represented the first time that Leeds fans had been able to attend a fixture since sealing promotion.

But it was also the occasion which presented supporters with the chance to bid farewell to both Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez.
There were certainly tears as the pair left the field during the second-half. But Leeds sent them off with a superb victory against the side that joined them in sealing automatic-promotion last year.
They may not be the only players who have made their final appearances for the club, however. Gjanni Alioski is out of contract in the summer (via Daily Mirror).
Alioski has been in brilliant form in recent weeks. He has arguably shown that Bielsa’s men may actually be fine if he stays and they do not manage to land a new left-back in the coming window.

And against West Brom, he was excellent once again. His energy and partnership with Jack Harrison caused West Brom all sorts of problems.
He was also at his combative best when the Baggies did pose a threat going forward. And there was also an amazing goalline clearance.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Alioski. But it does appear that plenty of fans would be more than happy to see the North Macedonian extend his contract.
