Leeds fans react on Twitter to Gaetano Berardi’s display

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Gaetano Berardi’s performance during the Whites’ 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Wednesday night.

Despite securing the three points, Leeds did not appear to be at their best. The home side hit the bar at the Riverside Stadium, and Bielsa’s men seemed to make an uncharacteristic amount of mistakes.

He looked calm and composed alongside Liam Cooper at a time when Leeds were struggling to retain possession. And his reading of the game was strong throughout.

He seemed to have one shaky moment during the second-half when he tried to recover from a heavy touch by diving into a challenge. But that was arguably a rare blip in what was a superb display.

And plenty of fans have argued that Berardi was Leeds’s man of the match on a difficult night for the visitors.

Here is what some of the fans made of the defender’s display…
