Leeds fans react on Twitter to Crysencio Summerville’s U23 display

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Crysencio Summerville’s display as the Whites’ under-23s beat West Brom in some style on Monday.

Mark Jackson’s men secured yet another win as they move a step closer to the league title. They beat the Baggies 5-0, with Joe Gelhardt scoring three and Sam Greenwood bagging a sensational free-kick.

It was Summerville who scored the other, getting on the end of an amazing Ian Poveda pass.

The Dutchman caused all sorts of problems throughout the game. He won the penalty for the opening goal, and he set up Gelhardt for his and Leeds’s second with a neat lay-off.

West Brom’s defenders seemed to have problems all afternoon trying to get the ball off Summerville. And it is certainly fair to say that the 19-year-old was one of those to really send a message to Marcelo Bielsa.

Plenty of fans have taken to social media to insist that Summerville needs to be given a first-team chance before the end of the campaign.

Leeds look to be well on their way to securing a second consecutive season in the Premier League. And when they mathematically get themselves across the line, the supporters are hoping that Summerville is one of those handed his debut.
