Leeds fans react on Twitter to Crysencio Summerville goal

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Crysencio Summerville after the winger scored an outrageous goal for the under-23s on Sunday.

Mark Jackson’s side were beaten 2-1 by Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. However, the Whites produced a superb performance. And on another day, they could have easily scored on a number of occasions.

The one goal Leeds did get came during the first-half, thanks to Summerville. And it was an absolute stunner.

The Dutchman received the ball while with his back to goal, some 30 yards out. He proceeded to dance past three players as he burst into the penalty area. And he unleashed a beautiful strike into the top corner.

Leeds were crying out for that sort of quality during the second-half. Summerville had been taken off at the break, along with Pascal Struijk.

They had the chances to take something from the contest. But the Black Cats defended superbly at times.

Leeds’ inability to take those chances highlighted the quality that Summerville brings to the side. It was certainly a piece of brilliance that would not have looked out of place in the first-team.

Unsurprisingly, plenty of fans were left stunned by the goal the 19-year-old scored, as Leeds posted a 38-second clip of the goal on Twitter.

It was a timely piece of skill, with Dan James producing arguably his best performance yet for Leeds last time out.

Summerville has certainly sent a message to Marcelo Bielsa with his goal.
