Leeds fans react on Twitter to Adam Forshaw display

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Adam Forshaw after his performance in their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Sunday.

Forshaw had been a shining light in a somewhat unconvincing win at Norwich last week. The 30-year-old was making only his second league appearance in the top-flight for Leeds at Carrow Road.

He was named in the starting lineup in the league for the first time since 2019 against the Foxes.

And he went on to produce a superb display. Starting alongside Kalvin Phillips, Forshaw brought so much energy and intensity to Leeds’ midfield.

It is, of course, a position which has been an Achilles heel for Marcelo Bielsa’s side during the early stages of this campaign.

But Forshaw seems to be reminding everyone of what he can bring to the side. He had been playing brilliantly in the weeks leading up to the nightmare run of luck he subsequently endured with injuries.

And he has provided an indication that he could be ready to play an important role for Leeds this season.

Certainly, plenty of supporters felt that he was one of the best players on show during their clash with Leicester this weekend.

The optimism will only be cautious. Unfortunately, there have been too many false dawns to get carried away just yet.

But the signs are incredibly promising. Forshaw looks to be up to speed. And he certainly looks like a Premier League player.
