A number of Leeds United fans have taken to express their anger after it was announced that Millwall striker Tom Bradshaw will not face retrospective action over the incident that saw a penalty given against the Whites at the weekend, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Lions claimed a controversial victory at the Den on Saturday. Leeds fell behind after 14 minutes when Bradshaw went to ground inside the box, and James Linington decided to give a penalty.
It initially appeared that the referee had had no choice as Bradshaw got the wrong side of Gaetano Berardi. But the Leeds fans were quickly left baffled when the official produced a red card for the 31-year-old.
Kalvin Phillips was coming round to put himself between Bradshaw and the goal. So it looked incredibly harsh to dismiss Berardi. And the anger only increased when replays of the incident emerged.
There appears to, at most, be minimal contact between the two players. And there certainly does not seem to be enough of a touch from Berardi to bring Bradshaw down, especially as the forward very briefly continues his run before heading to the ground.
As reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Berardi has had his red card overturned. But Bradshaw has escaped punishment as the FA decided that it did not meet the threshold for review.
And while plenty of Leeds fans have been left stunned by the decision, they do not appear to be particularly surprised that Bradshaw will not need to worry about facing further action.
Here is what some of the Leeds supporters made of the announcement…
`did not meet the threshold?`
Presumably this threshold has 91 clubs above it and just us below.

Bet it would be different if it was a Leeds player 🤷♂️

It’s what we all expected, same old one rule for them and a different one for us.
