Leeds have confirmed the signing of Valencia forward Rodrigo Moreno – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have given a wild response to the announced deal.
The Whites confirmed on their official website that they have signed the Spaniard on a four-year deal and have paid a club record transfer free to bring him to Elland Road.
Leeds have managed to get a deal over the line for the Spain international after plenty of speculation in recent weeks and he is an extremely high-profile addition to the club, who arrives with a big reputation and will get plenty of pressure on his shoulders.
The 29-year-old is a modern forward that links up play extremely well in the final third of the pitch and allows others to play off him, plus he should be a great fit in Marcelo Bielsa’s side due to his work-rate.
He finished the last campaign with seven goals and 11 assists in just 34 games across all competitions and has experience of Champions League football under his belt.
The left-footed striker has joined the Yorkshire club to compete with Patrick Bamford for the number nine position and his addition seems like a serious statement of intent, as the club look to retain their top-flight status following their promotion last year.
A selection of Leeds supporters on social media couldn’t contain their excitement over the announced deal and believe they’ve made a special addition.
