Leeds United are reportedly in the midst of a three-way transfer battle to sign Feyenoord’s highly-rated midfielder Orkan Kokcu this summer, with Leicester City also interested – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.

Leeds are likely to be after a midfielder this summer having played players out of position in the middle of the park recently. Left-back Stuart Dallas, and strikers Rodrigo and Tyler Roberts have covered that area.

It comes after they failed to tempt Udinese into reducing their asking price for Rodrigo De Paul last summer, while a medical for then-Bayern Munich star Michael Cuisance saw Leeds opt out of a deal. He is on loan at Marseille.

But another name has now appeared and that in the form of 21-year-old Kokcu. La Razon say Leicester, Sevilla and Leeds are all keen on the two-time Turkey international – who will cost a figure in the region of £10million.

It is a much cheaper option than De Paul, but probably one that is more unproven. He has, though, played 70 times at senior level for Feyenoord – having a hand in 21 goals during that time, scoring nine and creating 12.

Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the reports that Leeds are looking at Kokcu, and some are all for the signing of the playmaking midfielder.
