A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight after the club confirmed on their official website that Morten Spencer has signed his first professional contract with the Whites.

The versatile midfielder has scored twice and provided three assists in the under-18 Premier League this season. He also scored in the superb 8-2 FA Youth Cup win over MK Dons last month.

And he has been rewarded for his encouraging form. Leeds have announced on their official website that the teenager has penned a professional deal at Elland Road.

The club confirmed that Spencer is set to stay until 2023.
