Leeds fans react on Twitter as Ben White’s linked with Chelsea

A number of Leeds United supporters have taken to Twitter to comment on reports from The Sun claiming that Chelsea want to sign Ben White in January.

White is arguably Victor Orta’s greatest success story when it comes to the players he has signed during his time at Leeds.

The centre-back arrived on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer having not played at a level higher than League One. But he has not missed a single Championship game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season.

Unsurprisingly, his form has not escaped the attention of some Premier League sides. Brighton appear to be happy to leave White at Leeds for the rest of the campaign. But it appears that Bielsa’s men cannot relax yet.

The Sun reports that Chelsea are weighing up making a £25 million bid for the centre-back. Frank Lampard is able to sign players again next month, and he is reportedly interested in landing White.

It will be no surprise to the rest of the Leeds fans that the supporters on social media are desperately hoping that there is nothing in the reports.

White has been a revelation at Leeds. And some of the fans feel that losing him in January would put a massive dent in the club’s promotion hopes. It has even been suggested that Leeds will not be going up if White does leave next month.
