Leeds fans react as Sam Greenwood posts video on Instagram story
Sam Greenwood has posted a video of his goal on his Instagram story against Arsenal’s Under-23 side in a friendly with England’s Under-19 side at St. George’s Park from Saturday’s 6-1 win – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to his effort.
Greenwood, 19, joined Leeds from Arsenal last summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £1.5million after deciding that his path in to the senior side was filled with numerous obstacles. At Leeds, he believed that path to be shorter.
Indeed, he has become one of the stand-out stars of the Under-23 side – scoring eight goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances, helping Mark Jackson’s side sit just three points away from promotion to the top tier of Premier League 2 football.

Not only that, but Greenwood has become a regular with England’s Under-19 side and made his Leeds debut – albeit in a 3-0 defeat to Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup. Indeed, Greenwood played in a friendly for the 19’s on Saturday.
Typically, he came up against his old team Arsenal in a behind-closed-doors friendly at SGP – and he scored one of England’s six goals, as did Joe Gelhardt. Greenwood posted a video of his goal on Instagram (above) and plenty of Leeds fans reacted.
Great movement and great goal. Just like Alfie's for Oldham.
We've got some fantastic young lads coming through.
There's going to be strong competition for places over the next couple of years by these young men and many others in our youth ranks.😉
Bring it on.

The deals for both Greenwood and Gelhardt are looking more and more “criminal” by the day. If they continue developing at the rate they are, we’re going to be set for serious fire power for years to come
