Kemar Roofe is approaching a return from injury to give Leeds United’s promotion push a mighty boost in the closing weeks of the season, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
They report that Roofe’s recovery from a knee problem is progressing so well and he is deemed to be so important to Marcelo Bielsa’s plans that he will be hurried back without the usual spell in the under 23 squad.
And after the Whites got themselves back into the Championship top two with a dramatic 3-2 win over Millwall on Saturday, while Sheffield United lost 3-2 at home to Bristol City, Roofe’s impending return only adds to the positivity around the club right now.

But it remains to be seen how quickly he is ready to start and where he goes into Bielsa’s team – and even the Leeds fans on Twitter couldn’t agree.
Some supporters want him to come straight in up front in place of Patrick Bamford, who struggled somewhat against Millwall, but others would like Roofe to be eased in more gently, from the bench.
Either way, the supporters couldn’t seem to agree, but they were all pleased to have Roofe back and we’ve put together some of the best reaction…
