A number of Leeds United fans have expressed a desire to see Robin Koch deployed in a holding midfield role for the Whites following his latest performance for Germany.
Koch is a player who has come in for some criticism in recent times. He made a couple of costly errors against Leicester and Crystal Palace as the Whites suffered back-to-back defeats before the international break.

But he has taken little time to remind supporters why some were labelling him an amazing signing in the weeks following his Elland Road move.
Koch was handed a chance in holding midfield for his country’s Nations League clash with Ukraine on Saturday. And he went on to produce an outstanding performance.

The most impressive moment came when he lifted a delicious pass into Leon Goretzka’s path. The 25-year-old then found Timo Werner for the home side’s second goal.
Those who watched Koch felt that using him slightly further forward was a masterstroke. Meanwhile, others who have since seen the pass to Goretzka seem just as impressed.
Of course, Kalvin Phillips is going to be Marcelo Bielsa’s first-choice in that position whenever he is fit. But Bielsa has previously alluded to Koch’s suitability to that role.
It seems fair to say that many supporters are now intrigued to see how he would get on in that position having been superb for Germany this weekend.
Here is what some of the supporters made of Koch’s display and pass for Goretzka…
