Leeds United could be about to receive the news that they have all been waiting for, as Argentine newspaper La Nacion claim the Whites are closing in on a two-year deal to keep Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road – and Whites fans are excited on Twitter.

Bielsa, 65, is out of contract at the end of the season – but that is how the Argentine works. He is renowned for extending his contract at the end of every season by 12 months, which he has done twice now as Leeds manager.

He has already stated that he will put pen to paper required before the end of the season if Andrea Radrizzani wants him to, before stating he sees himself remaining at Leeds for the rest of his managerial career. Now, La Nacion provide an update.

The report stats that Leeds are set to agree a contract worth two years – something which he has not previously done in Yorkshire. It is believed a deal is close to completion, and is currently ongoing behind the scenes.

Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the reports that the Whites are closing in on a deal for their Argentine manager. The report has been met with enormous delight from the club’s fanbase on social media – one fan Tweeting: “Be still my beating heart”.
