Leeds fans react as Raphinha discusses Champions League

Raphinha responded when asked about playing in the Champions League earlier this week – and Leeds fans are absolutely loving his response.

Raphinha, 24, has been on fire for Leeds this season – so much so that he has broken into the Brazil side. Under Tite, the Leeds winger is now first choice.

On Tuesday night, Raphinha clocked up his fifth cap – his second appearance of this month’s international break in World Cup qualifying.

It comes after two goals and two assists in his first three games for Brazil, including a brace against Uruguay in a 4-1 win for Selecao.

He is not just doing it in blue and yellow. For Leeds, Raphinha has netted five goals in 10 Premier League games – including a free kick at Leicester.

Of course, with that, comes interest. The likes of Liverpool have been linked with a move to sign Raphinha – he was asked about the Champions League.

Raphinha responded: “Of course. I am very happy at Leeds and hopefully we can play in the Champions League,” as per the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Raphinha will continue to be linked with a move away from Leeds. A double-edged sword, they will want him to shine at Elland Road.

But as his form grows, so will the interest – and the bigger chance of Raphinha leaving Leeds. Leeds fans will know the inevitable will happen.

Leeds fans, though, are delighted to hear Raphinha state he would rather play in the Champions League with Leeds – than at another club.
