A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter after Mateusz Bogusz told TVP Sport this past week that he will leave Elland Road on loan this summer.
Bogusz has endured a somewhat frustrating campaign. He looked to be one of the finds of pre-season, particularly after the Whites’ trip to Australia.

However, he ended the campaign with just two first-team appearances under his belt for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. And one of those outings came on the final day as Leeds thrashed Charlton Athletic at Elland Road.
And Bogusz suggested that he will get his wish to leave on loan having previously wanted to seal a temporary move away earlier in the year.

“I wanted to go on loan this season, but Bielsa didn’t let anyone go,” Bogusz told TVP Sport. “Now I will be gone 100 percent, we’ve already talked about it. First I will sign a new contract and then I will go on loan.”
While some sense that Bogusz was left slightly frustrated with his lack of game-time, many believe that it would be good for Leeds and the teenager if he could move on loan.
They are delighted to hear that he expects to sign a new contract with the club. Bogusz looks to be one of the most exciting prospects in an academy that has produced so many names to keep an eye on in recent years.
And they are hoping that a loan move will help Bogusz in his development. The obvious destination may well be Huddersfield Town with Carlos Corberan taking over in the last few days.
Bielsa has tended to prefer to keep hold of his brightest prospects. So loaning players out looks to be a change of strategy from the Leeds boss.
But the fans are optimistic that Bogusz could really benefit from a spell away during the coming season.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to Bogusz’s comments…
