Leeds fans react as Leicester star reportedly available for just £1.8m
Demarai Gray is reportedly allowed to leave Leicester City for the bargain figure of just £1.8million this month after he entered the final six months of his Foxes contract – and Leeds fans have reacted, after recently being linked.
Gray, 24, has been ostracised by Brendan Rodgers this season – managing only 18 minutes of Premier League football and just two appearances in all competitions. His contract, worth £55,000 a week (Spotrac) expires in June.
A report from the Daily Mirror’s paper edition on January 5 (page 47) stated that Leeds were winning the race for the England Under-21 international – but faced competition from Sheffield United, Southampton and West Brom.

Now, German outlet Sport1 claim Bayer Leverkusen are keen on luring him to the Bundesliga after already nabbing Timothy Fosu-Mensah from Manchester United on the cheap. The report claims Leicester want just £1.8million
Leeds do have numerous options out wide. Raphinha and Jack Harrison start, while Helder Costa, Ian Poveda, Stuart Dallas, Gjanni Alioski and even Pablo Hernandez provide cover. But six of those seven are left-footed.
Only Hernandez is right-footed and Marcelo Bielsa may fancy another right-footed winger in Gray – given his bargain price tag. Leeds supporters reacted on Twitter to the reports that Gray is going cheap, and urged their club to move.
Hes a bit Hadi Sacko, but I'd be going in there for 2 million. If he turns out good, you dont have to shell out 10 mill for Harrison… #lufc https://t.co/tMNsldpLk3
