Leeds United are reportedly looking to complete a deal to sign Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan before the start of Euro 2021 this summer, with the player boasting £17.5million release clause – and Whites fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports.

Tufan, 26, has starred for Fenerbahce since joining the club in the summer of 2015. He has clocked up 170 appearances in total for Fener, and is clearly one of the SuperLig’s best midfielders – with 58 Turkey caps also under his belt.

Able to play as a holding midfielder, box-to-box or a 10, Tufan would provide cover for England international Kalvin Phillips but also offers quality in the number six role occupied by both Stuart Dallas and Mateusz Klich under Marcelo Bielsa.

His 14 goal involvements this season also prove he has the attacking nous to play alongside Klich or Dallas in the attacking-midfield role. Fotomac state that Leeds are looking to sign Tufan, while Fanatik claim he has a £17.5million release clause.

Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that the Whites could bring in Tufan this summer, if they activate his exit clause and many supporters believe he would be a good signing for Bielsa’s men. He has a contract at Fener until June 2023.
