Kamil Miazek made a number of excellent saves during Leeds United Under-23’s win over Colchester United on Monday night – and Whites fans have reacted on Twitter to the Pole’s display.
Miazek, 22, was given the nod in goal ahead of the likes of Will Huffer and Josh Rae, and the decision to play him paid off. His clean sheet ensured Leeds were crowned champions of the Professional Development League North.
Ryan Edmondson stole the plaudits with two well-taken goals after good assists from Jack Clarke and Jordan Stevens. But it was Miazek that kept Leeds in the game.

With the score still at 1-0, Miazek pulled off an unbelievable stop to deny a header. Minutes later, Edmondson scored in the 81st minute to win 2-0. He looked calm and assured all night.
The former Feyenoord youth goalkeeper is in the final few months of his contract. Although Leeds have an option for a further year on the deal, no agreement has been made.
But his performance against Colchester would have done the 6ft 4in Pole no harm in looking to earn an extended deal at Elland Road. Leeds fans took to Twitter to react to his performance, with many mightily impressed.
