Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus are reportedly considering a move to sign Leeds United attacker Rodrigo Moreno in a swap deal that would see Douglas Costa go the other way this summer – and Whites fans have responded on Twitter.

Rodrigo, 29, only joined Leeds last summer from Valencia. Despite being initially signed to play up front and provide competition for Patrick Bamford, the Spain international has dropped deeper into attacking midfield.

It has seen the ex-Benfica man score just three goals in 18 Premier League matches, but that has not deterred Juventus from being interested in the attacker. Indeed, CalcioMercato24 report that the Italian champions are interested in Rodrigo.

However, they are looking to strike a swap deal with Leeds – a move that would see Douglas Costa move to Elland Road. The Brazil international has been linked with the Whites, with Costa seemingly surplus to requirements in Italy.

He is currently on loan at former side Bayern Munich, but he has managed just one goal since returning to the Bundesliga side. He has 18 months on his contract at Juve, and Leeds are looking to take advantage of that.

Leeds supporters responded on Twitter to the news that Costa and Moreno could swap sides in the summer window – even though they are slightly different positions. Many are against the idea of losing their club-record signing.
