Leeds United kept their hunt for automatic promotion to the Premier League running smoothly on Saturday with an excellent 1-0 win away at Bristol City – and fans were very impressed with Jack Harrison.
The 22-year-old has been one of the weaker players in Leeds’ starting eleven of late. Indeed, the Manchester City loanee has only showed in glimpses this season what he can be capable of.
But the former New York City winger is finally beginning to come good, and he showed that against the Robins on Saturday. The England Under-21 international started on the left wing once again.
It looked as though he has the bit between his teeth on the Ashton Gate surface. Although he should have perhaps done better with some chances in the first half, his work rate was excellent.

Harrison helped shield his left-back and was eventually given a well-deserved breather by Marcelo Bielsa in the 75th minute. Barry Douglas replaced him, with Gjanni Alioski moving to left wing.
Patrick Bamford’s ninth-minute strike was enough to secure all three points, which sees Leeds sit in second place – two ahead of Sheffield United but two behind Norwich.
Leeds fans took to Twitter after the match, and many were thoroughly impressed with the display of Harrison – and are excited to see more of the same from the £51,000-a-week wide man (Spotrac).
