Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has been nominated for Young Premier League Player of the Season after a stunning campaign.
The Premier League announced on their official website that the 21-year-old French keeper was one of eight players to receive a nomination for the award.

As well as Meisler, Phil Foden, Mason Mount and Bukayo Saka have been shortlisted.
A season to remember
Meslier has been in sensational form for Leeds this season. Indeed, the youngster broke the record for the youngest Premier League keeper in history to keep ten clean sheets in a single campaign.

Moreover, the Leeds star’s form this season saw the keeper receive a starting berth for France’s U-21s fixture against the Netherlands in the U-21 Euros. However, Les Bleus were eliminated from the tournament in a 2-1 loss.
Meslier is a fan favourite at Leeds
Meslier has quickly shot up the ranks amongst supporters over the past nine months. And supporters on social media are buzzing for the youngster after this nomination for an official Premier League award.

Coincidentally, Meslier was key to Leeds’ 10th place finish in the Premier League standings in their first season back in the top-flight in 16 years.
