Leeds fans react as Euro 2020 postponed for another 12 months
UEFA have announced that Euro 2020 will be postponed by 12 months and pushed back until June 11 2021, with the Norwegian FA’s official Twitter account breaking the news – and Leeds supporters have reacted on Twitter.
With the Covid-19 epidemic suspending the Premier League and Football League until April 3 at the very earliest, and other European countries postponed for longer than that – the Euro 2020 competition was supposedly in danger.
Leeds United are closing in on promotion and a return to the Premier League for the first time in 16 years. With nine games to go, they sit top of the Championship – but the outbreak of the virus has halted any promotion parties for the time being.
Indeed, Norway FA’s official Twitter account announced that UEFA has moved Euro 2020 back by 12 months and that could hand Leeds United an enormous boost in their pursuit of promotion to the Premier League.
UEFA har bestemt at EM utsettes til 2021. Det skal spilles fra 11. juni til 11. juli neste år. Mer informasjon kommer.

Leeds sit seven points clear of third-placed Fulham, with nine league games to play. There has been talk of finishing the season as it is, creating a 22-team Premier League next season – or the worst scenario for Leeds, voiding this season.
Leeds supporters have reacted on Twitter to the news that Euro 2020 has been postponed for a year, giving the Championship a chance to play the final nine fixtures of the season. Many are feeling more optimistic on Twitter.
