Leeds United’s director of football Victor Orta has reportedly opened talks to sign Rubin Kazan winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia this summer, but face competition from nine other clubs – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.
The 20-year-old has caught the eye with his performances in the Russian Premier League over the past season having broken into Kazan’s side – and the Georgia national team. He has had a hand in 12 goals during 23 outings.
Unsurprisingly, that has caught plenty of attention. Soccer.Ru claim Orta has held talks with Kvaratskhelia’s agent, but that Juventus, Bayern Munich, Monaco, Ajax, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Napoli, Atalanta and Dortmund are keen.

The initial report stated Kazan would accept £17.5million, but the club’s sporting director Oleg Yarovinsky has since been quoted by Sputnik-Georgia as saying: “Our price for Khvichu is 30 million euros,” or £26million.
Leeds have options out wide in the form of Raphinha, Jack Harrison, Helder Costa and Ian Poveda – while Stuart Dallas and Gjanni Alioski are also options. Harrison is likely to be signed permanently, but Alioski is due to leave.
His contract is expected to expire, while Costa is likely to be high on a list of players Leeds are willing to sell. Leeds fans reacted to the potential arrival of Kvaratskhelia in the coming months and many seem to be all for it.
