Leeds fans react as club reportedly offered left-footer at Champions League club

Leeds United have been reportedly offered the chance to sign Real Madrid left-back Miguel Gutierrez this summer as they search for a replacement for soon-to-be free agent Gjanni Alioski – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.

Alioski is close to seeing his Leeds contract expire despite remaining first choice under Marcelo Bielsa at left-back, with Stuart Dallas moving into the middle of the park and shining in place of Mateusz Klich – who is out of form.

Leeds could do with a left-back, then, if Dallas continues to operate in midfield and Alioski leaves. Teamtalk claim Leeds have been offered 10-time Spain Under-19 international Gutierrez – and Victor Orta is interested.

Gutierrez, 19, is yet to make his senior debut for Madrid but has been on the bench for numerous matches under Zinedine Zidane this season – instead, starring under the guidance of Madrid legend Raul for the club’s b-team.

There are high hopes for Gutierrez among the Madrid ranks but it now appears Leeds have the chance to bring him to Elland Road – though a price could be somewhat expensive, given Goal claim he has a £35million release clause.

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter in response to the news that their club could look to complete a deal for Gutierrez and many believe he is just what the club are looking for on the left side of their defence.
