Marcelo Bielsa has reportedly approved his Leeds United side to make enquiries to sign Fiorentina duo Erick Pulgar and Christian Kouame ahead of the January transfer window – and Whites fans have reacted on Twitter.
Leeds have enjoyed a solid start to Premier League life in what is their first season back in England’s top flight since relegation and financial collapse in 2004. 20 points from their first 15 games is impressive under Marcelo Bielsa.
With the January window approaching, Leeds could do with a couple of additions. The Whites have three central defenders injured in the form of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and Liam Cooper – while a new left-back and a midfielder could also be eyed.

Italian newspaper La Nazione have claimed that Leeds are interested in Ivory Coast international Kouame, 23, who has scored two goals in 22 appearances for Fiorentina – though has only started 13 of those and is returning from an ACL injury.
The other is Chile midfielder Erick Pulgar, who starred for La Viola last season – scoring seven goals and creating eight more in 41 appearances during 2019-20. He is of a similar ilk to that of Kalvin Phillips, but can play like Mateusz Klich, too.
The Sun claim Palace want £20million-rated Kouame too, despite his lack of goals and injury history. But the latest report claims Bielsa has approved enquiries for both – and Leeds fans have responded on Twitter to the news.
