Leeds fans react as club reportedly interested in Juventus star Douglas Costa

Leeds United have reportedly shown interest in Juventus winger Douglas Costa this summer while Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a bid for the Brazil international – and Whites fans have responded on Twitter.

The Whites have been excellent this summer, smashing their club-record transfer fee on Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia. Spain international and Rodrigo’s national teammate Diego Llorente has also joined, as has Germany cap Robin Koch.

Jack Harrison has rejoined on loan, Illan Meslier and Helder Costa have signed permanent deals and the Under-23 side has been significantly strengthened with arrivals including Sam Greenwood, Joe Gelhardt and Cody Drameh.

It sees Leeds boast plenty of options out wide. Costa and Harrison are first choice, while Gjanni Alioski, Pablo Hernandez, Stuart Dallas and Ian Poveda are also options. The Yorkshire club, though, are keen on adding another winger.

Ryan Kent, Rodrigo De Paul and plenty of wingers being linked, it is clear Marcelo Bielsa wants to bring in more depth out wide. Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims Costa is a target for the Whites, but Wolves have made an offer.

Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news that the Whites want to raid Juventus for Costa – though interest in the Brazilian from Yorkshire has gone ‘cold’. Some think he would be a sensational move, while others are worried about his wages.
