Leeds fans react as club reportedly eye Liverpool defender, will cost £10m
Leeds are one of four Premier League clubs that have shown interest in Neco Williams over the past 12 months. That is according to The Athletic, who also claim that Liverpool want just £10m for the Wales international. Leeds fans have reacted to the interest in Liverpool defender Williams.
The report states that Leeds are battling Aston Villa, Southampton and Burnley for the 13-time Wales ace. On Sunday, he started and lasted 86 minutes as 10-man Wales limited Italy to just a 1-0 win. It saw Wales finish second in their group.
What have Leeds fans said about Liverpool defender Williams?
The interest comes less than 24 hours after that performance. Williams has been given the odd chance by Jurgen Klopp of late, clocking up 25 senior Liverpool appearances. But there are question marks over his ability – even though he is able to play at both left-back and right-back.
While some Leeds fans believe Williams could be a good signing this summer, as the Whites eye a left-back, others are not so sure. A couple of fans reckon he could be a younger version of Stuart Dallas – but others do not believe he is good enough for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
