Leeds United are reportedly battling three other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Arsenal star Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer, who is rated at £20million – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported interest in the midfielder.
Maitland-Niles, 23, left Arsenal to join West Brom on loan in the January window after complaining about a lack of opportunity in his favoured position of central midfield. He has since impressed with the Midlands clubs, under Sam Allardyce.
But with West Brom relegated, England international Maitland-Niles will is set to return to Arsenal but The Sun claim the Gunners are ready to cash in on the midfielder – for a figure of £20million. The Mail claim Leeds are interested in him.
However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side face competition from three other Premier League clubs in the form of Everton, Manchester United and Southampton this summer. He has a contract at Arsenal until the summer of 2023, but his exit seems inevitable.
Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Maitland-Niles could be in line to move to Elland Road and while some are keen to see him signed by Victor Orta – others have questioned the fact he might cost as much as £20million.
TransferMarkt claim he is looked after by Colossal Sports Management, the same agency who take care of Cody Drameh.
