Leeds United have reportedly held talks with currently out-of-work manager Massimiliano Allegri over his stance on taking on the Elland Road job as Marcelo Bielsa’s replacement when the Argentine eventually departs – and Leeds fans have reacted.

Bielsa, 65, remains in the Elland Road dugout and while he is out of contract at the end of June – it is widely believed that he will sign on for a further 12 months this summer. Last summer, he only signed a new deal just before the game against Liverpool.

Bielsa likes to work season to season when it comes to his contract, recently stating in a press conference that if Andrea Radrizzani wants a decision right now – he will give him one. But for now, he will remain out of contract in June.

The Argentine spoke before the game against Chelsea that he is preparing to end his managerial career at Leeds, and stay with the Whites “forever”. But Leeds are seemingly considering names should Bielsa, for an unbeknown reason, depart Elland Road.

The Times claim that Leeds have approached ex-AC Milan and Juventus manager Allegri over a potential move to Yorkshire in the future – to understand the Italian’s stance on a move to Elland Road. Leeds fans think he would be a good replacement.

While some think he would be good, it is clear many want Bielsa to stay for as long as possible.
