Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Alaves goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco with Kiko Casilla expected to leave Elland Road in the summer – and Whites fans have responded on Twitter to reports that he could be added to Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Casilla, 33, has a contract at Leeds until the summer of 2023 – but as one of the club’s highest earners, he has dropped out of the Leeds side and has only played once in the Premier League this season. On Monday, he was axed from the matchday squad.
Elia Caprile was preferred and that could be a sign going forward. Casilla has since posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story, suggesting that he might leave the club – though is ready to fight for his place. Time will tell, for the Spain international.

Spanish website ElGolDigital claim that Leeds are looking to replace the three-time Champions League winner, and that the Yorkshire club are battling Southampton to sign Alaves stopper Pacheco. A bargain fee of £8.5million is required.
Pacheco was sold by Madrid to Alaves in 2015 and was replaced by Casilla – and now the two could be involved in another transfer triangle. He has clocked up 207 appearances in all competitions for Alaves, keeping 67 clean sheets.
Some Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter to the reports that Pacheco could be considered by Victor Orta.
